SISU – Product Review

SISU

It can be a real challenge to ensure my family eats healthy, but at times, it can be a real challenge.  We do try to balance cravings with health eating, and we never skimp on high-quality supplements.

One of the product lines that I’ve purchased for more than 15 years is SISU. It was one of the few brands that our Naturopathic Doctor recommended. I feel it’s important to purchase them from a reputable company since supplements are not government regulated. With so many to choose from, it can be confusing and overwhelming. We rely on our ND (Naturopathic Doctor) to advise us on the best ones to take, along with the correct dosage.

It’s important to purchase high-quality supplements because you get the greatest benefits for your money.  Since multivitamins are not “one for all,” you should choose them based upon your age, gender and lifestyle habits.

Some supplements don’t absorb within your system. Last year, I attended a health and wellness seminar and heard about a “very well-known” multivitamin that contained cheap synthetic ingredients, binders and fillers.

It’s also a good idea to do your research and read up on a company’s manufacturing and quality assurance practices. Expiry dates should be clear to understand.  I love SISU’s bottles, which are dark-blue glass, and able to block out light.

SISU is certified in “Good Manufacturing Practises (GMP), which is an overall quality standard enforced by the Health Protection Branch of Health Canada.

I am extremely impressed with SISU and encourage you to read more by visiting their website.

While everyone’s requirements are different, the three that we take daily:

  1. Multivitamin Iron and Iron-Free
  2. Vitamin C
  3. Vitamin D

Vitamin C is particularly helpful during cold and flu season. SISU’s Ester-C® absorbs quickly and can stay in your system longer. It’s easy on your tummy and less acidic than other vitamin C supplements.

SISU to Go Ester-C® Energy Boost

SISU

I keep a few of the “SISU to Go Ester-C® Energy Boost” packets in my purse.  They’re perfect to add to a bottle of water.  While I always increase my vitamin C during the winter months, I find they’re super easy to take and very convenient.  Since I stopped drinking diet coke, I find the taste of “SISU to Go” is just right since they’re naturally sweetened.  It turns plain bottled water (which is great on its own) into flavored water with a boost of vitamin C!
