Hi, my name is Ruby.  Welcome!  Come in and take a look.

I thought about starting my blog years ago.  I kept thinking of reasons why I couldn’t or shouldn’t: too many food blogs, what would I say, and how would I navigate all that tech stuff.  HTML & CSS causes my eyes to glaze over!

Well, here I am! (Thanks D for introducing me to WordPress).

I am a self-taught and passionate baker who also loves to cook and experiment with new recipes and ingredients.  I love food, but what I really crave is cake!  I can forgo breakfast, lunch or dinner for a divine piece of cake.  Practically any kind will do: dark chocolate, lemon, coconut, vanilla, mocha, strawberry or tiramisu (I could go on)!  As I’m writing this, yes, I am eating a slice of tiramisu!

I also enjoy photography, and while I am years away from being a professional photographer, I would say my blog is more about having fun, and sharing my interests with other food lovers!

It all started with my obsession of taking photos of food.  First my baking and cooking creations, and then whenever we dined out.  H knew the procedure quite well.  He would position the food, let me take a few shots (only 20 or so), and then and only then, could we eat.  I don’t need to tell fellow foodies about the stares we received!

I’m also very persistent in perfecting a recipe before posting here.  I will always tell you where I went wrong!

Random posts may pop up, but food will definitely be at the forefront.
